About Georg Glatzel was born in Hamburg in 1961. With the age of thirteen he got his first SLR Camera, a Praktica and his own photo lab for analog image development. After graduating in economics at the University of Heidelberg and real-estate economics he was an entrepreneur in the real estate business for more than 25 years. Georg Glatzel was the founder and CEO of IFM Immobilien AG, a listed company at Frankfurt stock exchange. After his resignment in December 2012 he came back to his roots and continued his old passion in an autodidactional way as an art photographer. He lives in Heidelberg and New York.
